What we collect and why
- Your orders: name, delivery and billing address, email, phone number, what you ordered and whether it was paid. We use it to make, ship and invoice your order, and to handle returns and claims. (Reason: to carry out our contract with you.)
- Your account, if you make one: name, email and your order history. (Reason: to carry out our contract with you.)
- Messages to us: what you write in the contact form or by email. We use it to answer you. (Reason: our legitimate interest in helping our customers, or your contract.)
- Newsletter, if you sign up: your email address. You can unsubscribe at any time. (Reason: your consent.)
- Address suggestions and location: see the sections below. (Reason: our legitimate interest in a smooth checkout.)
- Technical data: your IP address, browser and device type, and which pages were used, kept in server logs to keep the shop working and safe. (Reason: our legitimate interest in security.)
- Accounting records: invoices and payment records that the law requires us to keep. (Reason: legal obligation.)
- Statistics and marketing cookies, only if you allow them. (Reason: your consent.)
Data outside the EU
We ship all over the world, and some of our service providers are based outside the European Economic Area, for example in the USA. When your data goes there, we make sure it is protected, for example with the EU Standard Contractual Clauses or a recognised data protection framework. Delivering to a country means the carrier and its local partners handle your delivery details there.
Cookies and similar technology
- Always on: the cookies that keep your cart and checkout working, remember your language or currency, and remember your cookie choice. The shop cannot work without them.
- Statistics and marketing: stay off until you choose to allow them in the cookie banner. If we use services such as Google Analytics or Meta (Facebook) advertising measurement, they run only after you allow them. They may collect information about your device and how you use the shop, and the provider may combine it with other data it holds about you.
- You can change your choice at any time with the Cookies link at the bottom of every page. You can also block cookies in your browser, but the cart and checkout may stop working.
- Videos from YouTube load only after you press play. Fonts on our pages are loaded from Google Fonts, which means Google receives your IP address when a page loads.
Your country and currency
We use your IP address, matched against a location database stored on our own server, to guess your country. We use it to show the right currency and to tell you whether VAT applies. The result is not sent to anyone else and is not tied to your name.
Address suggestions (Geoapify)
When you type your street address at checkout, we show address suggestions. These are provided by Geoapify (geoapify.com). While you type in the address field, your browser sends the text you have typed so far, and the country you chose, to Geoapify to get matching addresses. Because the request comes from your browser, Geoapify also receives your IP address and basic technical details of your browser. To show nearby addresses first, we may also send a rough location (city level, estimated from your IP address).
We do not send your name, email address or phone number to Geoapify. Suggestions are optional: you can ignore them and type your address in full. Geoapify’s own handling of data is described in its privacy policy.
Address suggestions are powered by Geoapify and use data from OpenStreetMap, © OpenStreetMap contributors.
How long we keep it
- Orders and invoices: as long as the law requires us to keep accounting and tax records.
- Support messages: as long as needed to help you and to deal with any claim about the order.
- Your account: until you ask us to delete it.
- Newsletter: until you unsubscribe.
- Server logs: a short time, then they are deleted.
Your rights
You can ask us, at any time, to:
- show you the data we hold about you, and give you a copy;
- correct data that is wrong;
- delete your data, unless the law requires us to keep it;
- limit how we use your data, or object to a use that relies on our legitimate interest;
- send you your data in a format you can reuse;
- stop using data that you allowed us to use. This does not affect what we did before.
Write to [email protected]. We answer within one month. If you think we handled your data wrongly, you may complain to your local data protection authority. In Latvia, that is the Data State Inspectorate (Datu valsts inspekcija, dvi.gov.lv). We would appreciate the chance to put it right first.
If you live in California or another US state with privacy laws, you can also ask us what personal information we hold and ask us to delete it, using the same email. We do not sell personal information.
Keeping it safe
We use an encrypted connection, limit who can see order data, and choose service providers with care. No system is perfectly safe, so if something affecting you goes wrong we will tell you and the authorities as the law requires.
Children
The shop is for adults. If you are under 18, please ask a parent or guardian to order for you. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
We may update this policy, and we will change the date below when we do. Last updated October 2026. See also our terms of sale and secure payment.
